Steve Price, of Frith Park East Grinstead won his first East Grinstead Cycle Club time trial last night. Steve, of the Agisko-Viner racing team has been a regular visitor to the club evening series, often running the winners close. However, at the first ‘long’ time trial of the season, a challenging 24 mile loop around Handcross, Lower Beeding, Cuckfield and Balcombe, Steve beat allcomers to record his first win.
Andy Seltzer finished second completing the hilly course in just over one hour and five minutes, followed by Mike Anton. It was Mike’s best finish of the season and it can’t be long before the fast-improving rider records his first win. Ted Boorman finished 4th.
