Thursday evening, Redbridge circuit, 3rd/4th cat crit. Well what can I say? I’m supposed to be too old for youthful over-exuberance! But I went at this like a bull in a china shop, attacking pretty much from the gun. I succeeding in softening up the bunch nicely, putting myself into oxygen debt. And then missed the 6 man break that went as soon as I sat back. Doh!
Metaphorically kicking myself I decided to bide my time and await the sprint. Legs felt great and I comfortably won the bunch sprint for 7th place. Must remember – you’re never too old to make school-boy errors!
