Sunday morning very cold and foggey started at the same place as Sat up the Houghton Hill and along the A29/A27/A24 its a hilly course, quite a challenge for the time of year.

I crawled round to beat Jaquie again to gain first prize overall. This is the first year the weather has been so kind and its a great event. perhaps a team in next year??

Steve Dennis writes…

Sunday morning saw riders facing freezing fog and poor visibility to tackle
the 42kms from Storrington via Whiteways, Fontwell, Arundel,
Patching, Findon and Washington.

Steve Dennis was off no.10 and disappeared
into the mist away from time-keeper Richard Blackmore. He finished in 1hr
and 19secs. Meanwhile, Ange was on the road and about to notch up her second
win of the season in the ladies comp with 1hr and 20mins dead.

With that
she took the overall ladies award to boot. As Dennis did not ride on the
Saturday, he didn’t feature in the overall, which was a shame because he
bagged 3rd place on sunday.

The winner of both events, and overall was Hastings
rider Peter Tadros with times of: 25:05, 58:15 = 1:23:20 agg.
