With no local events on the calendar I thought I would venture further a-field and try riding a 10 organised by Farnborough & Camberley CC on the H10/8 course on starting on the A31 Bentley bypass.
The weather on the way to the event was not encouraging with heavy showers and gusty winds. Fortunately the sun shone for the event although the wins remained. The outward leg of the course went west from Bentley along the A31 into a south westerly wind which made it hard work but after the turn this became a welcome relief.
At the finish I recorded a 24:10 as I passed the line at just under 40mph. The winner of the Vets, Ladies and Juveniles event was Mick St. Leger with a time of 21:12.
