The 2015 Reliability Trial for the ESCA Rally Shield will be held over a 48 mile course, with the start and finish at the
King’s Head, East Hoathly. The HQ is East Hoathly Village Hall, Church Marks Lane, East Hoathly, East Sussex
BN8 6EQ – Open from 7:30am. The Hall and main entrance is situated in Church Marks Lane, opposite the village car
park and there is also stepped access from South Street. Heading north on the A22, turn right before The Shaw
Roundabout into South Street and left into Church Marks Lane. No shoe plates in the hall.
Riders can choose one of the three events: Event A – 4 hours with the first group off at 8:15am
Event B – 3½ hours with the first group off at about 8:50am
Event C – 3 hours with the first group off at about 9:20am
Please note that if there are a high number of entries in Event A it might be necessary to have a later starting time for
Event B and Event C. We apologise for any inconvenience but hope you appreciate that keeping group sizes to no
more than 15 has to be a priority.
The ESCA club with the highest combined number of successful finishers from all three events will hold the Rally
Shield for one year. In the event of a tie, the club with the largest number of successful finishers in Event B and C
will be declared the winner. The Rally Shield will be presented to the winning club at the ESCA prize presentation
lunch on Sunday 10th January 2016 at The Alma Arms, Framfield Road, Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 5AJ.
Entrants must be members of an ESCA affiliated club, there are no entries on the line, and no entries via email. All
entries must be paid in advance and made on the reliability trial entry form, to arrive no later than Friday 6th
November 2015. The cost per rider is £5.00, with cheques made payable to East Sussex Cycling Association.
