The East Sussex Cycling Association held a weekend double bill with a 10 mile time trial on Saturday and a longer 25 mile event on Sunday.
Both courses were on the A22 and Saturday’s event saw some sunny though rather cool weather.
First Grinstead rider off was Mike Anton who recorded 23:44, which was to be the fastest club time that morning. He was followed by Paul Winkley with 25:05 and Ted Boorman with 25:28. Unfortunately Angela Nainby did not start and missed out claiming the ladies prize, which went to Emma Richards of Eastbourne Rovers.
The men’s event was won in commanding style by Ben Instone of Scientific Coaching with a blistering 20:41.
