Sunday’s 25 course was two laps round Loxwood, Alfold, Dunsfold and Plaistow.
The rain held off but the damp conditions claimed many victims with at least 6 DNF’s due to punctures.
I was first off and finished in 1:4:49, a 1:15 improvement from 2005.
Steve went of N#70 with Richard N# 71. Unfortunately Richard was another victim of the road surfaces and had problems with his rear disc right from the start. He wisely decided to stop after ½ mile rather than risk losing the tub at the furthest point of the course.
