Ride bikes. Have fun. Feel good.

Dennis by miles – literally!

Welcome all to the start of the 2006 evening tens series. The only real shock on the night was that it wasn’t raining.

Steve Dennis romped to an easy win with no challengers in sight – some work to do for the rest of us then.
Steve’s 23-09 is not far off his best times, come cold and wind or warm and sunny Steve will tap out a good time. Judging by the heavy legs and time, veteran status has come early for Paul Blackmore.

A distant 25-43 from PB’s first and last race as a senior this season was surprisingly good enough for 2nd but a huge 2mins 34seconds down on SD. Chairman Seltzer was just a few seconds adrift with 25-55. Paul Winkley started well though with a useful 27-00, giving Ted Boorman something to think about, 44 seconds back.

The ladies competition has started fiercely with 3 entries and a welcome return for Angela Nainby to take first spot in 29-56.

See Mike Anton’s photography website for a full list of photos.

A new handicap competition kicks off this year with the hope of leveling the playing field. Didn’t really work………SD also top spot here! But Ben Hardisty picked up second with a good ride so all is not lost yet.
