Club Hill Climb

Paul Blackmore writes…

PB surprised most including himself with a win in the clubs hill climb. Slightly fortunate that SD decided not to defend his title by riding his mudguarded bike, AS suffering from jet lag and MA yet to learn the art of repairing a puncture (I believe TB offers lessons at a reasonable rate).

So with the big guns out of contention PB got up in 5-35, 7seconds clear of AS who had a second over SD.

There was a healthy attendance for the last evening test of the year, with 12 riders facing the ascent of legsheath lane at Weirwood Reservior. Excellent ride from PH in his speciality, BH edging out RD for 5th.
Good to see the Woodwards back in action.

PB’s win confirmed runners up spot overall after overhaulling AS last week. AS lost out to SD in the Vets comp as well but he did win the first Handicap comp.

Thats it for this year, don’t forget the next major club event, the EGCC organised ESCA 25 on 17th Sept. Ride or help. The choice is yours?
