Paul Blackmore was the winner of last night’s East Grinstead Cycling Club 10 mile time trial, the second in the club’s 2005 evening series. He edged out last week’s runaway winner Steve Dennis by 3 seconds in the bright but cold conditions where an excellent 17 riders turned out to race.
But for a further second, Dennis could have been edged into third place. Steve Price of the Agisko Viner team, who lives in East Grinstead and is a regular visitor to the EGCC club tens, finished the Horne based course in 25 minutes and 13 seconds.
Fourth was Gary Williams in his last appearance for the club for a while before returning to Spain, on 25m 24s, while Mike Anton took fifth on 25m 33s.
