Steve Dennis stormed to another win in the Sussex CA 50 Championships on the challenging G50/10 course on Sunday. His time of 1:52:18 was nearly two minutes clear of second place on a tough morning where only four riders broke the 2 hour barrier.
At approximately the same time across the other side of the county between Haslemere and Petersfield, Ben Houston lined up for the Blazing Saddles 50 on the fast P885 course where Steve Dennis broke the club record a few years back with 1:40:50. Ben finally managed to pace a 50 properly and recorded a personal best 1:56:41, which was good enough for 61st place on the day in a stacked field of 120 riders. Liam Maybank won in 1:39:43 and a total of 74 riders broke 2 hours.
