On an unusually warm and sunny weekend in April a number of East Grinstead riders took advantage of the weather by entering local events.
The Catford CC 10 was held on the fast Q10/19 course on the A21 between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks and attracted 80 riders. Christian Yates clocked 22:19 and Ted Boorman 24:52. The event was won by Pete Tadros (In Gear) in 19:38.
Meanwhile over at Bletchingley, John Cole’s Tooting BC Sporting 21 on the somewhat slower GS/334 course attracted 35 riders. East Grinstead had one rider, Ben Hardisty who came home in 1:03:27. The event was won by Sebastian Ader (a3crg) in 0:51:03. Andy Seltzer (In Gear) had a solid ride to finish under the hour in 0:58:29.
