Perfect weather for cycling combined with a leisurely start time (9.12) made for a very civilised Sunday morning.
Once again Mike kindly offered to drag me round the GS/838 course. Drag being the operative word as I barely looked up from his back wheel, simply concentrating on hanging on.
Excellent pacing though once again from Mr Anton, building up speed slowly to the first turn at Golden Cross, thereafter it was full speed ahead over the various bumps and troughs, with Mike waiting patiently here and there.
But with 200 metres to go, it was my turn and now with my lead out man shouting at me …and I barely got beyond his front wheel ! However improving our 2006 time by over a minute was unexpected and a great way to end the season.
