Last night towards the end of the event a conversation was had with a local resident. She highlighted a concern that at the finish line the road is already tight, motorists have to drive on the other side of the road to pass all the cyclists congregating, and there are oncoming cyclists approaching at speed coming round a blind bend.
So to all cyclists, please try not to block the road at the finish area and when approaching the finish, keep your head up and make sure you are not in the middle of the road.
This was a very considerate request from a local resident which everyone should take notice of.
Also on the approach to the T junction, where the marshall is standing, please make sure you stay on the left of the white line at all times.
