The forecast for rain and the holiday season resulted in a low turn out, but as it happened, the six starters only had to contend with a stiff south-westerly wind.
Despite the wind, Mike and Stef put in very solid rides. However the show was stolen by Matt Willis back riding the circuit for the first time in two years after his back problems.
Matt returned to the evening series, not on his Planet-X, but with a brand new recumbent machine. Clocking 38 minutes, it remains to be seen (to be ratified by committee) whether this will count as a course record, but a great effort nonetheless.
