This Sunday its the 30th edition of the East Grinstead Triathlon – one of the longest running and best run events in the UK. The event sells out months in advance, and this year, in addition to the usual age group and Elite waves there is a special “Class of 86” start wave at 10.35am where all those who took part in the very first edition were invited to compete once again.
Looking at the start list I recognized a couple of EGCC legends in the “Class of 86” – Bill Wates and Pete Bedingfield. (There may be others!).

Pool Swim (500m) at Kings, Bike (26km) to Forest Row / Hartfield back via Holtye A264, then 2 laps Run (5km) around the town centre.
